On this International Women’s Rights Day, we wish to recognize the remarkable contribution of one of our team members at Mazda, who positively impacts the dealership day after day. This tribute is the perfect chance to commend her accomplishments, perseverance, and influence, while continuing to advance gender equality in the automotive industry and beyond. We thus have the privilege of presenting Louise Allard, who shares her story and insights through a brief questionnaire.
Q: How long have you been working in the automotive field?
A: “Almost 15 years.”
Q: What attracted you to this field?
A: “Customer service and team spirit are my two main passions.”
Q: Which position(s) have you held?
A: “I was a receptionist for 14 years, then I recently became Sales Coordinator last September!”
Q: What has been the biggest challenge you’ve faced as a woman in this industry?
A: “Standing my ground and proving my worth. It’s still often seen as a male-dominated sector.”
Q: What is your greatest pride in your automotive career?
A: “Distinguishing myself through patience and perseverance. I’m very proud of my new position!”
Q: What advice would you give to a woman who wants to get into the automotive field?
A: “You have to be able to stand firm, speak your mind, and not be afraid to voice your opinions.”
Q: If you could drive any car, which one would you choose and why?
A: “The fully equipped CX-90, for its beauty, handling, and comfort.”
Louise’s progression from receptionist to coordinator proves that women can definitely find their place in the automotive industry. Her story illustrates the power of a passion cultivated over time, showing that no path is too ambitious.
