Mazda reliability recognized by Consumer Report

Mazda stands out in the most recent list of the most reliable car manufacturers, according to the Consumer Report website.

Consumer Reports is an independent, non-profit organization. It aims to guide consumer’s choices and encourage companies to improve their products and services, as well as their practices.

Each year, the organization compiles and analyzes several data to establish a list of automotive manufacturers that offer a range of reliable vehicles, as well as a list of models that stand out. The team has interpreted data from more than 400,000 sources to present these results. This is one of the largest scientifically conducted surveys in the field on the US territory.

This year, Mazda ranks second on the list, just 4 points behind Lexus. In addition, 3 Mazda models are among the top 10 most reliable vehicles : the CX-3, CX-9 and MX-5. Moreover, the MX-5 has the highest score of reliability, with 95/100.

To determine which models are the most reliable, Consumer Reports relied on 17 listed problems such as squeaky brakes and broken interior trim—to major bummers, like out-of-warranty transmission repairs or trouble with four-wheel-drive systems, for example.

« Consumer Reports' reliability ratings show how well vehicles have held up and the odds that an owner could be inconvenienced by problems and repairs. A vehicle's reliability can seriously affect how satisfied you'll be with a car over the years, and it can significantly influence resale value when you're ready to replace the vehicle »
