The Meridian version of the 2023 CX-50 is finally here and it's adventure-oriented. Based on the GT Turbo version, this edition is distinguished by a series of equipment that gives a more robust look and enhances the capabilities of this SUV.
Abundance of strength
The Meridian Edition's equipment package includes, among other things, 18-inch black metallic wheels wrapped in 225/60/18 Falken all-terrain tires designed to tackle the most extreme roads. In addition, we can see new trim around the headlights, a matte black hood decal, black wheel nuts, and then wheel arch panels that protect the vehicle from external elements that could end up on the road.
As for exterior colors, the CX-50 Meridian Edition is available in either Polymetal Gray Metallic or Zircon Sand Metallic, while the interior is only available in Terracotta Leather with Black accents.
Extreme performance
The CX-50 Meridian features Mazda's i-Activ all-wheel drive with 4 bonus drive modes of sport, normal, off-road or tow, as well as a Skyactiv-G 2.0 turbocharged four-cylinder engine. 5 liters that develops 256 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque.
The CX-50 can also tow up to 3,500 lbs for the Meridian version, then offers 1,595 liters of cargo space with the seats folded down. Opening the tailgate at the same level as the floor makes it easier for you to load kayaks, bicycles, in short, everything you need for a getaway in nature.
